I’m sorry. For someone who has followed Momusu in their prime, I want to see BETTER. I mean, Im glad they gave all members an ample amount of camera time (Much more then they would have ever given JunLin)
Its just about as plain as Shabondama, which Shabondama wasn’t that bad because their was this demenor about the girls that expressed the feeling of the song. Like EVERY member understood how to convey the emotion and executed it and made it great.
This however…everyone staring off in space, dance, closeup, space, 1.2.3 slow turn…stare in your face, dance, closeup, blah blah blah. BORING! STARE WITH SOME DAMN EMOTION DAMNIT! They look BORED. And as much as I love my Kyuukies, they were the main culprits. Now I will give them the benefit of the doubt because its only their second vid, but the fact of the matter is they looked like lifeless dolls staring off into space. The only one with a noticeable emotion on their “stare” face was Ai and Aika (Aika looked STUNNING btw)
Closeups wern’t that bad, but damnit H!P, Tsunku, and UFA! SHIT. QUIT PUTTING THE GIRLS DEAD SMACK CENTER OF THE CAMERA. Its like you just gave a hundred thousand dollar camera to a guy off the street and just said “Just point, shoot, and don’t break my shit”. The positioning is completely unappealing, especially for this type of video! It worked great for Maji Desu ka Suka because the camera was not still. The nanchatte renai effect would have looked SPECTACULAR for this kind of video! All you need is a cheap plastic white pillar and it would have been a fucking master piece!
My last spiel is the dance shot…-sigh- where did our beloved golden era chreographer go? Oh yeah..she left for AKB and took her awesome quality dances with her! There is something about this dance that seems like a knock off of past H!P dances and it doesn’t sit well with me. Also, there is nothing spectacular going on. Some goofy ass jerking and thats about it. It noticably repeats itself. Like, they dont bother focusing on another shot. They just keep showing the same points of the dance shot. But its like…your fucking Morning Musume! Blow my fucking mind with like an Erina handspring, or a Zukki bug dance!
Okay…I think I got it all out :o these are my unbiased opinions. I am Morning Musume’s biggest fan on this damn planet, so when something ain’t right, I notice and I will express myself. I’m not gonna tell you not to get offended because I’m pretty sure I’ve got some close minded folks reading this right now and not getting where Im coming from.
